Link Building Campaigns
Links are what built the Internet.
One site linking to another is how the the world
wide web was created. Once search engines started
to rank websites these links were looked at as
a measure of popularity for a website.
Each link was considered a "Vote"
for a website. The more links (votes) a web site
had the higher the site ranked. In order to get
another webmaster to link to your site, you had
to to reciprocate with a link back to their site.
There are two different links in existence
today. The first type of link is the "Reciprocal"
link. The name of this link implies a relationship
between two websites. Webmaster A makes an arrangement
with webmaster B to exchange links between the
two sites. I vote for you you vote for me.
The next link style is the "One
Way Inbound" link and is considered
even more valuable by search engines since there
is no arrangement between the two webmasters.
Webmaster A simply previews the content of webmaster
B and finds it to be an excellent source for additional
information. Webmaster A then links to webmaster
B's site because he thinks it will benefit his
visitors.
Webmaster A gets nothing in return for his link
and this is why it is considered to be so important.
Webmaster A is willing to link to webmaster B
for nothing in return. The search engines see
this link behavior and determine that this site
must be good if other webmasters are willing to
link to it without a reciprcal link.
At West Coast Websites we build both types
of links. We know how important the one
way inbound links are and we also know
that sometimes the only way to get a good link
is to reciprocate. We employ several different
link building strategies and can deliver
the high quality links a website needs in order
to rise in the rankings.
